The sensor was installed in response to a successful application from the Hounslow Borough Respiratory Support Group.
Residents will have better access to air quality information and can check levels of harmful pollutants and Nitrogen Dioxide in real-time.
The Council hopes the sensor in the west end of the high street will help support people with long-term respiratory conditions.
