A new £60.5million educational facility in Ashford has officially opened, welcoming its first pupils earlier this month.

The rebuilt Fordway Centre offers specialist education for primary pupils struggling in mainstream schools aged between 5 and 11.

The two-storey facility provides calm spaces, small classes, and high staff support to help up to 24 children re-engage with learning.

Part of Surrey’s £48.3m Alternative Provision Programme, the centre supports vulnerable pupils closer to home.
