A man who attacked his partner on multiple occasions at their home in Sunbury has been jailed for more than three years.

26-year-old George Leighton was in an eight-month relationship with his victim before he turned violent.

He launched three attacks on her last autumn with the last one in October rendering her unconscious.

Leighton was found guilty of two counts of intentional strangulation and three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
