Emergency services were called to a crash between a car and a lorry on the clockwise carriageway at junction 14 just after 4:30am.
One man was freed from a vehicle by firefighters and taken to hospital, there are no other injuries were reported.
The carriageway remains closed, with traffic being diverted via the slip road.
