Two suspects on a moped approached a group of three men and demanded they give over their electric bike along Maxwell Road.
They refused and one victim was slashed across the head by a zombie knife several times causing lacerations that required stitches.
The suspects are described as two mixed-race men in their 20s and the moped they were on is described as a grey Honda Forza.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101.
