Officers spotted 36 year old Gary Smith with false number plates, speeding at 100mph along the A3 in December.

A pursuit followed resulting in Smith crashing into another driver and eventually being stopped by colliding with a police car.

He has also been fined, disqualified from driving for four years, and must pass an extended test once the disqualification period has ended.
