46 year old Darren Hanson killed 47-year-old Jason Lucas in February 2024, claiming he punched him during a fight.
Jason died from severe head injuries at the scene.
Hanson was found guilty after a trial at Chichester Crown Court and sentenced to life with a minimum of 19 years.
The judge called the attack “truly brutal” and praised Jason’s family for their dignity.
