38 year old Darren Makepeace has been found not guilty of killing Lee Ringrose on the grounds of self-defence.
Guildford Crown Court heard how 37 year old Mr Ringrose had been drinking at a pub in Bagshot High Street when he was involved in an incident with Mr Makepeace.
He was injured and died in hospital around four weeks after the incident last June.
The trial jury took two hours to return a unanimous verdict of not guilty on the basis of self-defence.
