28-year-old Joshua Rutter was charged following incidents at Next in Walton and Waitrose in Hersham in November.
He has been released on bail to appear at Staines Magistrates Court on the 12th of December.
PC Hodgkins says officers continue to work with retailers to tackle shoplifting and urges anyone witnessing incidents to report them.
