A man from Tooting who stole a disabled parking permit, has in turn, had it taken from his own car.

Tevin Evelyn was caught on separate occasions using two stolen blue badges to park free outside his home in Longmead Road.

When questioned by officers, he admitted that the first blue badge he had taken had in fact been stolen from his car in Croydon.

In court he admitted fraud and was handed a 12 month community order, 60 hours of unpaid work and told to pay court costs of £1,000.
