Officers were called to the shop in the Ashley Centre just before 4pm on Friday where 35 year old Cheriff Bayoumy was arrested.
He’s been charged with grievous bodily harm, actual bodily harm, assault of an emergency worker, criminal damage and two counts of theft.
He has been released on bail with conditions not to enter the Ashley Centre in Epsom and is due back in court in March.
