The 39-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker and two public order offences.
The arrests follow a safety concern on Cordilia Road yesterday, which led police to close the road from around 5.40am while carrying out enquiries.
Officers thanked residents for their patience during the incident.
