Edward Gratwick was arrested at Stansted Airport on the 7 March 2025, as he attempted to board a flight to Bucharest, Romania.
On the 9 March, he was remanded into custody on 11 child sexual abuse offences but eventually found guilty of 38 charges, in October.
Gatwick was sentenced on Friday at Guildford Crown Court, and told he will serve a minimum of 19 years and 46 days.
