39-year-old Andrew Mayar is a plumbing and heating engineer.
He’s beaten stiff competition to secure a semi-final place in Screwfix’s annual competition which is now in its 16th year.
Andrew, who also teaches plumbing to students, will find out if he’s won at a special ceremony next month.
