A man accused of trying to bring a million pounds’ worth of cannabis into the UK has been charged with drug smuggling offences.

Nathaniel Benson was arrested at Heathrow on Wednesday as he flew in from Thailand with his children.

Border Force officers allegedly found 160 packages in five suitcases.

The 45-year old from Leeds has appeared in court and been remanded in custody.
