A judicial review of the decision to approve expansion plans of Wimbledon’s grounds will start in July

Campaign group Save Wimbledon Park has been arguing against the Greater London Authority’s approval of the £200m scheme.

The proposals under discussion would add 38 new tennis courts and an 8,000-seat show, neighbouring the main tennis site.

But the scheme has been subject to planning disputes since autumn 2023 due to concerns over the loss of public land.
