A house fire in Twickenham is believed to have been down to a fault with a solar panel.

The brigade was called to Warburton Road at 2pm on Wednesday.

Three people left the property and there were no reports of any injuries, but part of the property was destroyed.

The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental and due to a fault within a solar panel inverter which converts currents.
