Emergency services were called to The Royal Brompton Hospital on Fulham Road early on Sunday after a heat pump allegedly sparked the blaze.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters brought the fire under control by 12:16 am, and no injuries were reported.
Hospital staff and emergency crews confirmed that damage was limited to part of the plant room.
