The incident took place last year at the University of Roehampton’s halls of residence, where the pair were both staying whilst working at the tennis.
32-year-old Phillip Harrison pleaded not guilty, but was unanimously found guilty of attempted rape, plus a count of assault by penetration.
He was remanded in custody at Kingston Crown Court until his sentencing on the 22nd October.
