A fire at a waste collection site in Wimbledon is now under control but still causing large amounts of smoke.

A large pile of domestic waste has been alight in a single storey building in Weir Road since Saturday afternoon.

People across Wandsworth and Merton are still being urged to keep their windows shut.

6,000 cubic metres of waste has been removed from the building and taken to a separate site to fully extinguish the remaining hot spots.
