A fire at a house in New Malden last week is thought to be caused by the failure of an electric bike.

25 Firefighters were called to Muybridge Way at 10am on Friday.

Part of the ground and first floor were damaged, and a conservatory was completely destroyed by the fire.

Conversion kits allow people to add an electric motor to their bicycle, but the LFB has warned they are more likely to fail and cause a fire.
