It was in place across the town centre and St John’s estate due to recent incidents and concerns over youth anti-social behaviour.
Police say more officers were patrolling the area and had powers to disperse groups likely to cause trouble.
Inspector Lucy Marriott urged visitors to act responsibly, warning that anti-social behaviour won’t be tolerated.
