A decision will be made this morning on whether or not an 8,000-seater tennis stadium can be built on Wimbledon Park.

The decision rests with the Deputy Mayor of London, Jules Pipe.

Iain Simpson is chair of the Wimbledon Park Resident’s Association and has been fighting the plans.

The All England Club believes the plans will “deliver one of the greatest sporting transformations for London since 2012”.
