Glen Edwards lifted a trapped worker to safety using a crane when fire tore through a high-rise at Station Hill in November 2023.
The experienced operator, who had decades of experience in the job, had previously played down his actions despite being hailed a hero.
His quick thinking helped save lives during the incident, which was described as a “very close call” at the time.
