A coroner’s concluded there were ‘failings’ in the provision of care given to Graham Thorpe in the months before he died.

The inquest’s recorded the former England cricketer’s death in Esher last August as suicide.

The hearing was told the 55 year old had been asking his wife for ‘help to end his life’ for weeks.

But this wasn’t perceived by health professionals to be in a ‘crisis situation’.
