A community garden has opened in Thornton Heath for children to learn about science and nature.

Colliers Water Garden, transformed with £200,000 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, was designed with pupils.

It features bug hotels, raised planters, a small amphitheatre, and a compost area.

Croydon’s Executive Mayor Jason Perry says it “restores pride in our borough” and provides a green space for learning and the community.
