Chessington Garden Centre raised the money for Rainbow Trust across December from visits to its grotto.
The centre in Leatherhead Road has raised more than £85,000 for the charity over the past 12 years.
A large part of fundraising takes place annually at Christmas when customers are given the option of donating to the chosen charity during their grotto visit.
Katherine Burgess, Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager at Rainbow Trust, said:
“We are so grateful to Chessington Garden Centre for giving us the platform to raise funds and visibility of our services in a community in which we work. On behalf of Rainbow Trust, I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated during their visit and helped to raise such a fantastic amount. We also want to thank all members of staff at Chessington Garden Centre for encouraging donations and providing us with such a wonderful backdrop to our fundraising. Thank you for helping us to make a difference to families caring for a seriously ill child.”
Chloe Krokidis, Event Manager at Chessington Garden Centre, said:
“It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Rainbow Trust this year and support such a fantastic charity, which is so close to the business’ heart. Having the children visit our Christmas experience, and seeing the joy it brought to families was heartwarming. We were over the moon with the money raised this year – thank you to all our visitors and donators for supporting us and helping us achieve this – and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Rainbow Trust in 2026.”
