A car and garage have been destroyed by fire in Beddington overnight.

The blaze in Croydon Road is believed to have been accidental and caused by an electrical fault.

Firefighters say people should be mindful not to overload extension leads.

LFB says “Power-hungry appliances such as kettles, toasters and microwaves, shouldn’t be on the same extension.”
