A 63-year-old man has died in a crash in Croydon after the car he was driving, with suspected false plates, was followed by police.

Two passengers were arrested on suspicion of being carried in a stolen vehicle.

Six others were injured in the collision, which happened last night.

The police watchdog is now investigating the incident.
