A 10-year-old beekeeper from Addlestone is campaigning to get roundabouts and verges transformed into pollinator habitats.

Archie has two hives of his own with 120,000 bees, and has written to more than 50 councils, and even to the King.

Surrey Council said it was moving forward with his plan and are “looking forward” to supporting his cause.

Archie’s Save Our Bees campaign received a response from one of the King’s advisors saying that His Majesty was impressed by his concern for the well-being of bees.
