Figures show police have seized more than 1,000, so far this year.

Meanwhile, Kensington and Chelsea Council says this year alone, over 2,000 e-bikes have been removed from its streets, with more than £381,000 in fines paid by operators through removal and storage charges.

The council says, despite this, residents continue to report bikes blocking pavements, overflowing from designated parking bays and creating hazards for pedestrians.

Police Scotland says by last month, 561 e-bikes and 441 e-scooters were confiscated which is up by more than 60% from 2025’s total.
