The order runs until seven o’clock on Sunday morning, allowing officers to move people on and stop them returning.
It follows incidents involving underage drinking, drug use and fireworks.
Extra officers will patrol the green and the town centre, with powers to seize alcohol and items linked to anti-social behaviour.
