The project on Hammersmith Grove includes smoother pavements, safer crossings and paving that helps rainwater drain into the ground.
The north side of Hammersmith Grove is due to reopen in the week beginning the 2nd of November, with further improvements planned.
Residents will also be invited to help plant the rain gardens.
