27 unpaid family carers quit work each day in Surrey, overwhelmed by the demands of holding down a job while caring for an unwell or disabled family member or friend.

That’s according to Action for Carers Surrey.

The charity offers a broad range of services for unpaid carers aged 5-99, but has recently expanded its hours to better support working carers.

This October and November it is running special events to inform them on their rights in the workplace, and around financial help.
