Surrey County Council has decided to expand its Aira Explorer app.
It connects users free of charge with a trained visual interpreter via a live smartphone video call.
They are helped to navigate the routes between bus stops and hospital entrances.
Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals is one of 13 hospital and healthcare sites across Surrey now taking part in the scheme.
