More than 1,000 school support staff from Merton and Greenwich are due to march on Parliament today in a row over pay.

The GMB members, including teaching assistants, are on strike for a second time over the amount they’re paid for working in London.

They say they receive the lower Outer London rate, while teachers at the same schools get the Inner London rate, a difference of up to £1,400 a year.

They’ll hold a rally in Westminster before marching to the Department for Education.
