New rules aimed at reducing roadworks on busy roads across Hammersmith and Fulham at peak times have been introduced.

The council now “demands” that companies carrying out work avoid trunk roads during the rush hour.

We’re told those who do will be fined with the money invested back into pothole repairs and traffic reduction technology.

Transport for London has enforced this scheme across almost 70% of the roads it operates since 2012.
