An author from Richmond has raised £2,650 for the NSPCC.

Denise Parker, whose pen name is Mrs P, made the donation from sales of her children’s book Jessie and JoJo.

It tells the story of eight-year-old Jessie who is frightened of the dark and creates an imaginary friend, JoJo.

The 64-year-old mother of four and grandmother, has been a supporter of the NSPCC’s Childline service since the early 1990s.
