The chanting was reported during their Premier League away game at Fulham on the opening day of the season last month.
After the 3-2 win over their west London rivals on August 24th the club issued a statement to their fans warning them against sectarian chanting.
The FA said the club was charged with failing to ensure the behaviour of their supporters.
