The development, by Haig Housing, is due to open in 2028, as the charity marks its centenary.
It’s recently announced Vice Admiral Sir Andy Kyte as its new President and Tom Sharpe OBE as an Ambassador.
The charity is also launching a £3 million appeal to help fund the new development.
