Plans for the new West Surrey Council are moving forward, with shadow councillors approving new governance arrangements.

The measures are designed to improve transparency, ethical standards and accountability when the council launches in April 2027.

Work continues to bring staff and services together, with services expected to continue without disruption.

The new authority will cover communities across West Surrey and is due to officially begin operating on 1st of April 2027.
