Students across Surrey are being urged to check whether they’ve had their HPV vaccine, as an NHS campaign returns this autumn.

The vaccine can help prevent several types of cancer, including cervical, mouth and throat cancers.

The campaign is aimed at 18 to 25-year-olds who missed their jab at school and are still eligible for a free catch-up dose.

The NHS says last year’s campaign led to a 117% rise in vaccination activity at GP practices serving targeted universities.
