Handpicked fruit and veg from the UNESCO site’s Kitchen Garden has been donated to the Community Café and Food Surplus Hub.
It’s run by The Real Junk Food Project which aims to divert food away from landfill while helping to alleviate food poverty.
The haul donated by Kew includes tomatoes, courgettes, potatoes, string beans, chard and okra.
