Nigella Lawson’s been praised for bringing “glamour” and a “hefty dollop of innuendo” to The Great British Bake Off.

The celebrity cook from Wandsworth was nominated Fortnum & Mason TV personality of the Year 10 years ago.

She’s replaced former judge Dame Prue Leith on the Channel 4 show and made her debut last night.

The cook’s received positive reviews from several newspapers, describing her as “intelligent” and having a “soothing presence”.
