The Prime Minister’s been urged to put businesses at the heart of his plans for devolution in next month’s Budget.

The British Chambers of Commerce says firms are vital to “deliver growth, investment and higher living standards” across the UK.

It says in June, just under a fifth of companies planned to spend more.

Andy Burnham’s warned of “difficult decisions” on the economy to ensure it “remains on track”.
