Police have seized 150 zombie-style machetes from an address in Croydon as part of an investigation into illegal weapons.

The shipment was linked to 20-year-old Jonathan Soares, who is accused of importing and selling hundreds of prohibited knives.

Overall, officers have seized almost 650 illegal knives since his arrest in June.

Soares has pleaded guilty to 12 offences and will be sentenced at a later date.
