Crystal Palace have marked their return to the Women’s Super League with a one-nil victory over Everton.

It’s their first game back in the top flight after winning promotion last season.

Champions Manchester City began their title defence with a 3-1 win over Birmingham, while Arsenal beat Brighton one-nil.

Tottenham also won 3-1 against West Ham, while fellow newly-promoted Charlton were thrashed 4-nil by Liverpool.
