A new campaign is aiming to change the way schools educate children about Henry VIII’s six wives.

“Teach the Six Queens Differently” has been launched by Historic Royal Palaces.

It wants the old “divorced, beheaded, died” rhyme ditched and pupils encouraged to delve into the backgrounds of the women as individuals.

Secondary schools are being offered learning sessions at Hampton Court Palace as part of HRP’s campaign support package.
