Sutton has renewed its Fairtrade Borough status for another three years, a title it has held since 2007.

The Fairtrade scheme supports farmers and food producers by promoting better pay and working conditions.

The council says it will continue working with the Sutton Fairtrade Community Group and partners in and around the area.

Residents can get involved through Fairtrade events across the borough, including Fairtrade Fortnight at the end of this month.
