Police have found and seized a number of weapons at a property in Epsom.

A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of weapons offences and is still in custody.

Police say their investigation is still in its early stages and the exact location has not been disclosed.

Residents may see more officers in the area while they continue their enquiries.

Borough Commander for Epsom, Inspector Tommy Pearson said: “This morning’s activity demonstrates the importance of intelligence-led policing and the work our officers do every day to keep our communities safe.
“We understand that incidents involving weapons can cause concern locally, but we would like to reassure residents that an investigation is ongoing, and we will remain visible in the area while this work continues.”
